Rompin State Park, or Taman Negeri Rompin is located in the district of Rompin, Pahang, Malaysia. Covering an area of 31,797 hectares, the park is blessed with interesting features of flora and fauna, geology and history. Vehicular access to the Park is available by tarmac road into Kinchin Base Camp, with the journey taking approximately 30 minutes from Kuala Rompin town.

Taman Negeri Rompin (TNR) is accessible by car and located approximately 30 minutes from Kuala Rompin and 1 hour from Mersing. The junction to TNR is located at Kampung Selendang. Vehicular access is available all the way by tarmac road into Kinchin Base Camp. However long and heavy vehicles should exercise caution when traveling into TNR due to narrow roads and steep gradients.

The Rainforest Dormitory overs single bed accommodation for up to 10 pax spread across two rooms. Common toilets and a shared lounge area are available on the ground floor of the chalet building. Suitable for large corporate or student groups, families and or groups of friends.

Various guided activities offered to suit the fitness level of our guests from easy trekking of Jeram Panjang to the challenging hike of Padang Tujuh. Kayaking is also available to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sungai Kinchin.

Q What are the natural attractions in TNR?

Seri Mahkota Waterfall is a 50-meter high cascading waterfall located within easy access from the front entrance of the Park. Visitors can as well choose to trek all the way to the waterfall with the in-house experienced guide. It is a natural sight to behold and attracts visitors from afar.

Padang Tujuh is a unique forest that offers the wonderful landscape of three different vegetation along the journey. Starting with tall dipterocarp tree species dominated by Pokok Kapur that looks like broccoli from afar, further up the trail leads us to the spectacular palm forest including the endemic species; Livistona endauensis. Once reached Padang Tujuh, the dry heath forest welcomes you with stunted bonsai trees, pitcher plants and wild orchids.
TNR is among the hotspots for bird diversity where 253 species have been recorded in the Park. Due to that fact, TNR is made into an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area(IBA) with its species richness and the number is still counting. Hornbills, woodpeckers, trogons and partridge are some of the species found in the park.
